Jared Kushner

A principal of Kushner Companies, a diversified private real estate organization involved in the ownership, redevelopment and management of prime single and multifamily housing, commercial, retail, industrial and hotel properties throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions. Kushner is currently the Chairman and Publisher of the Observer Media Group which includes in its holdings the venerable New York Observer. The Observer Media Group has redeveloped the Observer brand into a dynamic 21st century media entity, including the recent introduction of the newly redesigned newspaper and website. With a bachelor’s degree with honors in government studies at Harvard University and obtaining a JD and MBA from NYU, Kushner has been involved in over $4.5 billion worth of real estate transactions. In 2007, Kushner Companies closed on the purchase of 666 Fifth Avenue for $1.8 billion, which at the time, was the largest single-asset transaction ever. On top of that he maintains a plethora of professional, cultural and public service affiliations. He is on the Board of Governors for the Real Estate Board of New York, the Board of Advisers for the CUNY School of Journalism, a member of the Economic Club of New York and has held various leadership roles for the FIDF and UJA-Federation among other organizations.
